"I drove to Pennsylvania from the Midwest where I was told by a third cousin I went there to meet, that her "grandpap" - my great grandfather, was buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery. I contacted the office the day before I had to leave and left a message including the name of who I was looking for. Dave Farster, Caretaker, returned my call early the next morning to inform me my great grandfather was indeed buried there. Later that day, I drove to the cemetery and Dave was extraordinarily helpful. He stopped what he was doing and led me right to the grave site.
Dave also helped by giving me suggestions for the locations of my other Catholic ancestors who lived and died in Westmoreland/Allegany Counties.
This was my first experience at searching for the grave of an ancestor since beginning my genealogical studies just a few months ago. From what I had been told by other more experienced researchers, this level of service is not the norm."Added November 19, 2016 by A Google User
